Terms of Service

Effective October 4, 2026. These terms are an agreement between you and Westward Engineering Corp. ("we") for the EpiGuard app and epiguard.app. By creating an account you agree to them.

Emergencies come first

In an emergency, call 9-1-1. EpiGuard is training, not medical advice or emergency service. Follow the instructions on the device label and from emergency responders.

What a completion means

Finishing EpiGuard training produces a course completion record from our training program. It is not, by itself, a California EMS Authority (EMSA) certification card. EMSA issues certification cards to people who apply with a valid completion document. Our program's EMSA approval status is shown in the app and on this site.

Your account

• Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Your exam and skills check must be your own work. Submitting someone else's demonstration, or misrepresenting who signed off, is grounds for removing records and closing accounts.
• Only record skills videos with a trainer (needle-free) device, and only of yourself.

Employers

If you invite employees, you confirm you are authorized to do so, that you will use their training information only for workplace safety and compliance, and that you remain responsible for your own legal obligations, including any operations plan, prescription and reporting duties for epinephrine kept at your site.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break in, scrape, overload or reverse-engineer it, and no unlawful or abusive content.

Content

Course materials belong to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own training and your workplace's safety program, not resell or republish them.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in the app. We may suspend accounts that break these terms. Records we must keep are retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

California law governs these terms, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in California.

Changes

We will post updates here and change the effective date; material changes will be announced in the app or by email.
